Kimi K3 is absolutely hammering through my Windows XP Simulator to do list Claude Code couldn't do this for 2 weeks or kept getting stuck because I would get downgraded to Opus for safety then to Sonnet again for safety, useless 2 weeks of time wasted due to safety guardrails that are dumb just to protect me from making a fun hobby project Thank you China!!!!

Used Claude Code to connect all my blog posts from starting my nomad travels in 2013 all the way to 2018 from post to post AI is amazing and finding the red line through lots of pieces of content I will try connect 2018 (mostly in Korea) to 2020 back in Europe (COVID) later too It's also great at telling me where there's black spots that have no content and I can write about I wrote most actively 2013-2015 because everything was new while traveling and then slowly less travel blogs, also travel blogging became less and less popular and many stopped around 2016 as people were getting cancelled left and right for just using the wrong words back then! Made 🤤 Piet's Balls today: 1kg of minced meat (I use minced acém meat in Portugal, I think minced chuck steak in English, it's nice meat with some good fat) Then I use this pre-cut frozen garlic and onion, very good, let it defrost in a bowl a bit, it's frozen so the onion doesn't make you cry 👊 Then put it all together in a big bowl, add 1 egg, then salt (more than u think u need) and pepper, some paprika powder (always good on anything!), then add some flour so it gets more whole (ppl often use bread crumbs but flour is fine maybe better) and massage it all and fold it many times until it becomes one giant meatball I tried to make big Dutch meatballs (as big as a fist) last time but they're annoying to cook, takes ages and still raw inside Small ones like these are better and easy to cook in some butter, so I do that now The cooking is annoying still but okay, you gotta do medium heat (always on electric stove medium means like nothing comes out so more like 80%) and then you wait 3 mins for each side Because it's a meatball there's like 6 sides so it takes awhile, so yeah I'd say 15-20min? I thought about doing it in airfryer but it'd be less juicy but I'll try next time Anyway they were 10/10 excellent and JUICY and great protein source and gf + gf grandma loved them 😋

Something that will eventually happen when you use Tailscale is You think your site is down, you try reach it over SSH, it doesn't work, you try open the site in your browser, it doesn't open, you're about to reset the server and think the worst! Then you think: let's try the Rescue console on Hetzner, you SSH in, and ask Claude Code what's going on And it tells you your Tailscale key for the server expired, because they automatically expire after 180 days (for safety) @DanielLockyer told me to always [ Disable key expiry ] for every server, but I forgot it for Interior AI, you kinda get locked out otherwise so important to disable this! People always ask me how I make coffee so I make it with Brazil coffee beans I grind coarse with a Fellow Ode 2 and then pour over with stainless steel Hario V60 and Hario filter paper and a stainless steel Fellow EKG PRO kettle and ceramic Le Creuset mugs I tried lots of ways to make coffee over the years like AeroPress (a pain to clean), Nespresso (utterly disgusting, I wouldn't call it coffe), etc. V60 is nice because you can throw away the filter paper quickly after using and it's clean You need one extra cup in the back for drip after u finish Also everyone likes custom amount of coffee strength, I want 20g, gf want 10g etc, so it's superior to do it per cup than one big pot of coffee One important part here is we avoid plastic in every step of the process, important because you're dealing with boiling water When I was in Brazil we found a water kettle at gf parents house that was fully white plastic inside and out, super common, imagine boiling hot water in plastic! Many V60 filters are also made of plastic. And I remember in Bali often getting hot coffee in plastic cups! Luckily you can get everything here in stainless steel and ceramic! Enjoy!

And it's better than a Claude or ChatGPT as chat app because they forgot stuff and are way too messy The coding agent can just check your SQLite db what you ate, so yes it's about memory

Thanks @jordandotbuilds for the tip, I can now test my iOS app on web I asked Claude Code to set up serve-sim, a web-based iOS simulator that can stream the iOS app my Claude Code on VPS built live to me, because it's on some Mac Mini in the cloud without even a GUI (it's headless) I cannot actually try it on the Mac itself! Before Claude would make me a page with screenshots but I had no idea how the app felt, now with this it works This is hosted on the Mac Mini via SSH (it shows localhost but it's a tunnel via SSH to the Mac Mini), bit laggy but nice!

And it's made profile pages now, and because Claude Code runs on same server as the site itself it can instantly build an /api route that the iOS app then uses to get the data to put everything in native Swift elements I didn't touch anything, I just prompt, and I also can't even login to check on it because it runs headless on the Mac Mini in the cloud! Another little thing that nothing but Fable could have helped me make today: You can now drag and drop files from your own computer into Windows 3.11 on http://pieter.com The file is saved inside C:\DOCS and if you want to share it with other people you can put it in C:\SHARED It all works with a web filesystem called WebFS and it's very very cool, kind of becoming like a shared library/school computer

🤯 And it worked! It made a basic iOS app in full Swift then made a screenshot and sent me a link to check it! It made it on my Hetzner VPS but then SSH'd into a @macincloud Mac Mini in a datacenter somewhere to then build an app with Xcode on there Very basic but a great start

So @marckohlbrugge told me to finally make a Nomads iOS app today But I didn't want to do it locally because I only Claude Code on VPS now, so I asked it how to do it and it suggested to rent a @MacinCloud (not affiliated) So I did, then handed the login to Claude on my VPS and now it's coding an iOS app via SSH with Xcode on a Mac Mini somewhere in California! 🤯 One big reason to only code on the server for me is I wanna be able to work on my iPhone a bit or at least track progress when I'm away from home and it's annoying lugging my MacBook Pro 16" around everywere, so I don't anymore My work now is about 50-50 on my iPhone or MacBook Pro, both via Termius SSH to VPS! Everything I do is on a VPS these days, I do nothing local anymore Local AI coding just costs me battery and slower deploy time vs coding on the VPS with no battery spend and instant deployment! Why deploy when you don't have to deploy!

Never ever buy a Daikin AC! They limit how many times you can change them to just 150 times per day! We have 7 ACs in the house so that's a limit of 21 instructions per day 😂 completely arbitrary btw, makes no sense, just classic Japanese software design (I didn't buy it, it came with the house, and I've actively been ripping them out and replacing them with Mitsubishi) Other good brands for ACs are LG, Hisense and Haier, can recommend!
